The mega tree star has been completed! The star is about 36 inches across and uses 370 EVO pixels over 9 rings (80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 10).
The wiring starts in the bottom middle of the outer ring and then spirals inward. It took 7 strings of 50 and then a single string of 20. The final wiring picture also shows the required power balancing which connects the end of the last string back to the beginning.
Made of 10mm black coro from Gilbert Engineering which is 100% designed and made in the USA.
The star will have pipes which go into the pictured 3D printed mounts for stabilization as it will be at the top of a 17 foot “mega” tree.
