Door Wreath

I have completed a wreath that will be placed on the door. This prop is slightly different as it is part of the “Impressions” line where they print graphics onto the coro. I chose a festive Christmas wreath with bow so that even during the day the prop will look nice hanging on the door.

The coro is from Gilbert Engineering and uses 448 EVO pixels. Wiring was simple, start in the middle and spiral your way out. I used two generic 3D printed mounts to hold a segment of EMT conduit that will be used to hang the wreath using standard over-the-door wreath hooks.

Even though it is technically a Christmas prop with the wreath printed on the front, it will be present for the Halloween playlist.

The last picture of the backside shows how I allow the 12 volts to jump to the end of the string and balance the overall voltage which is a requirement of the new EVO pixels. Without it, the voltage reaching the last pixel is not enough to power it on.

The prop is called BOAW which stands for Baby of All Wreaths, the smaller version of the MOAW (Mother of All Wreaths) which has 640 pixels. This “small” BOAW wreath is still 31″ tall where the MOAW is 46″.
